Align your DIY skills with practical kitchen remodeling knowledge

This book did a great job laying out a framework on how to proceed with planning a kitchen remodel. Some of the items I appreciated were the different levels of money saving strategies, potential pitfalls and what to expect along the way. If you are looking for specifics on how to build certain aspects of the project you won't find that in this book, but that is not the intention of this book. If you are looking to gain knowledge which will make you more comfortable with how to approach a kitchen remodel and allow you to assess your DIY abilities in parallel then this is a book you should read.

Fantastic guide for anyone about to embark on a renovation

This book really provided the information and guidelines I couldn't find elsewhere -- such as, what can I attempt myself? What should I hire out? What can I expect? What are all the things I'm not thinking of, but should be thinking of, except I don't have the experience to know what to ask?
As a first-time kitchen renovator, this book really fit for exactly where I am right now: I know I need to renovate, I'm about ready to set my final budget, but NOW WHAT?
